Meet Alan!
Alan loves guitars and plays with more vigour and volume than skill, and he’s proudly napped through large chunks of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But overwhelmingly he loves stories! As a Drama and Creative Writing teacher, he’s immersed in stories, what moves them, what strengthens that connection between author and audience, and what speaks to a wider experience.
Weddings, like great love stories, have the universal and the unique, a ‘tip-of-the-hat’ to tradition while communicating each couple’s distinct path. As a happily married man of 20 years with two active, healthy and hungry teenagers, he loves how his story is unfolding. ‘Stories need to be heard and stories need to be told’ is a mantra that guides he many large events he’s MC’ed as well as the small, intimate gatherings. He considers it an honour to hear couples’ stories and to weave them into their celebrations.
Testimonials
“
Alan was wonderful!! He provided us with continued support throughout this whole process. Having him to talk things out with was very reassuring, and he helped remove a lot of the stress on our wedding day.
We received sooo many compliments on Alan’s energy throughout the ceremony and how he started the whole thing off on the right foot!! My husband and I thought the ceremony was great, had the right cadence, tone, and felt like us.
Thank you so much to Alan for being an integral part of our day - his jokes were spot on and made my husband and I feel at ease.
We really cannot stress enough how knowing that he had the ceremony under control made us feel! It really took the pressure off and allowed us to enjoy the day. We would highly recommend Alan and Vancouver officiant as well- the process was straightforward and really intuitive.
Thank you so much Alan!”
