Meet Jonathan!
If he’s not out running or resistance training, you’ll find him lending a helping hand to kids in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside… Jonathan is a wonderful human being, that has a heart to help people. He’s a seasoned wedding officiant that loves to help couples cultivate their unique interests and memories together into a fun and memorable ceremony, that truly reflects who they are, not fitting into a “traditional box.” Jon and his wife Carla have been married for 16 years and are conquering the challenges of raising Jed, Jael and Zoe, with ease, grace, and healthy treats.

“Vancouver Officiant and Jonathan Evans were wonderful to work with. Our wedding was postponed from 2020 to 2023 due to covid restrictions, but good things come to those who wait. Once our wedding was rescheduled, Jonathan walked us through everything and gave us the resources to write our vows. We had an intro call to talk about how to tailor the ceremony to our unique personalities, and we had a walk through rehearsal at the venue. Jonathan was excellent, his delivery so genuine and kind, everyone at the ceremony loved him. From months before the ceremony to the ceremony itself, we never felt alone, Jonathan was always available for any questions we had throughout the process and he always had a calming presence when talking to us. Jonathan made our ceremony feel so special and magical. He’s an excellent speaker, and it felt like he really captured our essence as a couple in the ceremony he crafted for us. My dad even told me (and I think told him too) that if he were to get married again he would want Jonathan to officiate. (I think my mom wasn’t too pleased with this but understood because he really was amazing).
We had so many people tell us after the ceremony how wonderful and perfect it was (“best wedding ceremony I’ve seen in a long time” was a very common comment), in no small part due to Jonathan.
